Just to catch up a little after a two-month gap: I have been busy. Mostly busy with life stuff (I’m still working full-time and studying full-time, which doesn’t leave me a lot of time for other things), but some of the work I’ve been doing will also hopefully lead to interesting news on this blog in the longer run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For one thing, I’m progressing well on my first scholarly article, the topic of which I shouldn’t talk about yet. I hope to have it finished by the end of the semester, which means around August, but we’ll see how that works out. I don’t know how and where I can publish it, since there are usually some prerequisites I don’t meet yet like an affiliated university or an academic grade, but I’m sure there will be a way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secondly, I’m part of a musical project that has me play a Commodore 64 live. We were supposed to premiere a few days ago, but due to some last-minute obstacles we cancelled our appearance. At the moment, we are looking into other ways to continue \u2013 different venues, but also ideas to expand our planned 15-minute improvisation into a longer performance. It currently looks like everything will click into place soon, so I’m going to postpone any further announcements to that point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m also still writing for the Spectrum fanzine SUC-SESSION<\/em><\/a>, with the third instalment of my “Adventure-Ecke” having come out recently. An English version<\/a> usually follows soon after. (I’m not translating those articles myself, but from what I’ve seen the translator is doing a fantastic job.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n For those who haven’t been following my activities too closely (which I assume means everyone), I’d also like to mention my calendar<\/a> again where you can see all my public appearances, including public tours at the Computerspielemuseum<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are two remaining German-only articles on this website, short birthday greetings to Bob Bates<\/a> and Tim Follin<\/a>, that I didn’t originally intend to translate, but if nothing interesting keeps happening, I might be tempted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The featured image was taken from a photo<\/a> by Scott McNiel<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Just to catch up a little after a two-month gap: I have been busy.
