I&#8217;ve just entered one of my old songs that I wrote around 1991 into the \u201cOther Music\u201d (i.e., non-C64) competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The song is called <em>An Answering Mood<\/em> and was composed on an Amiga with ProTracker 2.3 (or maybe 2.4). While I took the percussions from some scene instrument disk, all other instruments were sampled from my Roland JX-3P. It has never been published before (which is why I won&#8217;t link it here).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can listen to all songs at the party&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/csdb.dk\/event\/?id=3034\">CSDb page<\/a> after the event. The party will be streamed live on their homepage, I believe, and the songs will be judged on <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.google.com\/event?action=TEMPLATE&amp;tmeid=NW9waGFmdGJwMDFwM3JjM2o4azBvNTFwMTEgZDNiMGRiOGVudTBhaTJibmRwczNwNHBxZzRAZw&amp;tmsrc=d3b0db8enu0ai2bndps3p4pqg4%40group.calendar.google.com\">Friday, 2 July<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wish me luck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Update, 4 July: So it looks like I made 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place out of 6 in the Amiga music competition (that was made its own section when they found that there were 6 entries). You cannot find those songs at their web page \u2013 maybe they will make them available at a later date \u2013 but in case you want to listen to it, you can find it on my Funkwhale channel: <a href=\"https:\/\/open.audio\/library\/tracks\/444275\/\">https:\/\/open.audio\/library\/tracks\/444275\/<\/a> (<strong>Update<\/strong>: this used to be an embedded SoundCloud song, but I&#8217;ve moved away from there in the meantime.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Update, a bit later: I forgot to mention \u2013 it was a great party, even though I could only attend the first half of the music competitions. As far as I could tell at that point (and most attendants seem to agree with me), all the songs were fantastic, and I&#8217;m really happy I could be a part of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Final update, 5 July: I was informed (by the super friendly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/blueyakk_retrocomputing\/\">@blueyakk_retrocomputing<\/a>) that there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/g5440pgypfqsf44\/GUBBDATA21.zip\">ZIP file with all entries on Dropbox<\/a>.
