My Zork maps

While I was thinking about where to post my original Zork I maps from the late eighties or early nineties (as a reaction to this post on Reddit), I decided I might as well upload them here so that they will be preserved for interested parties. I might also link to them every now and then as an example of the typical stages of maps for adventure games.

This is the second or third attempt at a clean version of the area around the house after my initial scribbles (which I didn’t keep).
And finally, here’s the maze – from my first scribbles, to an attempt at a sorted version, to the raw “final” version with rationalised pathways. I never made a clean version, but this is pretty close, I think. (As a bonus, you can see that I dropped random objects in each of the rooms in order to be able to tell them apart.)
